WWII WW2 U.S. M1 Combat Helmet w/ Captain Bars.
Very nice example of a combat worn USM1 swivel bale front seam combat helmet for a captain. The helmets shell retains over 90% of its original factory finish that is uncleansed and holds a great patina. Normal to light scuffs scraps and abrasions are present on the helmet. One stress crack on the Firestone liner is also present along with some dome wear on the shell. The paint is matte to touch and shows no handling. The helmet retains a period application of captain bars painted in white to the liner and shell. This shell set up dates to mid/later 1944, a true combat worn set that not been pieced together, it’s remained intact since day one. 100% World War 2 set up as was issued during the war.
