    Description

    For sale is a WWII M-1 helmet painted to replicate the 1st Engineer Special Brigade helmets seen on D-Day beaches.
    The shell is McCord unit with a heat stamp of 674 C, which places its manufacturing date to approximately October 1943.  Chinstraps appear to be reproductions. The liner is also painted with the 1st ESB’s emblem.  Liner webbing also appears to be reproduction.
    Don’t know who created this tribute helmet, but it was very well done.  It displays nicely.
