    Description

In 1993, an old-timers race was held on the Legends Series short track at Charlotte Motor Speedway.  Among the drivers who participated were Fred Lorenzen, Cotton Owens, Tim Flock and Junior Johnson.  This hood was on 1962 Sourhern 500 winner Larry Frank's car.
The damage on the hood occurred when he collided with the back of Pete Hamilton's #43.  Petty blue paint from Hamilton's car is still visible on it.
This is a heavy hood.  It measures about 6 feet across, and around 53 inches from front to back.
We have several other pieces of vintage sheetmetal listed currently.
