    Description

    This is an original as found WWII US military M43 pile cap. This is 100% original and just now coming out of very long term storage.  It is showing normal use and normal wear. There is some old tape residue on the fabric but get it wet and it will come off. The inner size tag is missing but it fits the display dummy like a 7 1/4.  I am a 7 1/4 and it fits me pretty snug. This particular one fits kind of like a skull cap or high on the head. The larger sizes are very hard to find. This is a little different version of the M43. It has the close cut pile and not the furry version.   Excellent Original for a display or use.  Please look closely at the pictures as this is sold as is with no returns.
    Note: This particular one was used up into the late 40's to 50's due to the USAF property stamp on the bill. The Army Air Force became the Air Force or USAF in 1947.
