    Orginal WWII era item
    US Army M1 helmet with paratrooper liner (International Molded Plastics Co.)
    The liner has a name in it with a serial number Wallace Reed. The item was purchased at a surplus store within an hours drive of Toccoa, GA  where the 101st Airborne trained before moving to F.t Campbell, KY. It may have belonged to a "Toccoa Man" as the original Screaming Eagles where called if they had trained there.
    The liner has a cracked and the canvas straps are torn. The steel pot has great patina and wear associated with its age. (80 years )
