    Description

This is a pre WWII issue Army Air Corps Type B-6 high altitude sheepskin flying helmet. 1930’s sheepskin flying helmets had a red hue on the leather due to the tanning process that was superior to the WWII counterparts. The red hue had a tendency to never flake or peel. It was a superior tanning process not used during WWII. This is why they were called ,”REDSKIN”. This Helmet is in used very good condition. NO rips or tears. Original Air Corps label indicates 1930’s manufacture and is marked as a size large but fits more like a medium. The helmet is a gem and few ever turn up as these were made in relatively small numbers. As nice as you will find. All items sold are 100% guaranteed.
