1942 ST. CLAIR Low Pressure Type-7 US M-1 HELMET LINER

-Very Good CONDITION
...Collector Grade condition!!!

shell: LOW pressure
suspension: multiple-Vee HBT khaki COTTON webbing
(does not have the type-6 center female sweatband snaps....does not have the folded in
'pinked' ends on the neckband section....is open end cut)
INTERNAL:
-has the last pattern large fat type yellow painted 'SC' on inner dome (see Oosterman pg. 147)
-has the unfinished zinc-steel inverted 'A' webbing washers
-has undimpled unfinished zinc-steel garter studs for the chinstraps
-has the non-flat ROUND HBT center tie cord
-has attached 1st pattern non-adjustable NECK BAND strap....aka nape strap
also multi-V HBT
EXTERNAL:
-100% correct 1st pattern 'smooth dark green' factory paint....approx 90%+ intact/present
(NOT the type 8-9-10's later cork aggregated textured OD finish....see Oosterman)
-properly recessed or lowered edge to accept steel pot's bales
-center brass eyelet grommet
CONDITION:

Cotton HBT suspension is
NOT PRONE to age tearing
.....supple!
-small 1/2" edge tear....left side near bale fit
NO OTHER CRACKS-TEARS, NO HAIRLINE SPLITTING......
-3 white paint splotches......left side....see image
-(1) tiny resin? droplet on inner dome....see image
-NO TEARS, NO REPAIRS, NO RIPS on the suspension
-the usual bit of age corrosion on the internal washer hardware....
