1) Standing woman and boy. Backmark: "FOTOFRAFIA DEL PLATA VIGOUROUX Calle del Sarandi No. 171 MONTEVIDEO." Size: Approximately 4 3/16 x 2 9/16 inches. Condition: Photo - Spots and soiling. When tilted, some scuff marks are apparent. Mount - Wear at corners. Wear at top edge. Soiling and scuff marks on front and back. Appearance: Very good tones.
2) Seated woman and standing boy. Backmark: "FOTOGRAFIA ARTISTICA GALERIA DE RETRRATOS Desiderio Jouanty Hno Calle de los 33, No. 196 Montevideo." Size: Approximately 4 x 2 7/16 inches. Condition: Photo - Their dark clothing is mottled with spots and marks. A couple of thin marks between them. A couple of dark marks to the right of boy's legs. A small horizontal scratch at the lower right of her dress. Mount - Very light wear at 2 corners. Some wear along top edge. Soiling on front. Soiling and discoloration on back. Appearance: Deep and rich tones. Very good contrast.
3) Standing man. Backmark: "FOTOGRAFIA DEL PLATA VIGOUROUX Calle del Sarandi, 170 MONTEVIDEO." Size: Approximately 4 1/8 x 2 7/16 inches. Condition: Photo - Slightly faded. Some discoloration at left and right edges. Spots and specks. Someone has colored in his bowtie. Mount - Some wear at corners. Soiling on front. Spots, soiling, and some foxing on back. Appearance: Good tones.
4) Seated woman and baby. Backmark: "MAUREL FOTOGRAFO C.18 de Julio, No, 208. MONTEVIDEO." Size: Approximately 4 3/16 x 2 1/2 inches. Condition: Photo - Spots and marks. Some soiling. Mount - Wear 2 corners. A bit of wear at top and bottom edges. Soiling on front and back. Appearance: Rich tones. Very good contrast.
5) Man with mustache. Backmark: "FOTOGRAFIA 23 Calle del Cerro MONTEVIDEO." Size: Approximately 4 1/8 x 2 1/2 inches. Condition: Photo - Spots and soiling. Some fading on his arm at left. Mount - Some wear at corners and along top and bottom edges (more apparent on the back). Spots and some soiling on front and back. Appearance: Good tones.
6) Man with beard and mustache. Backmark: "FOTOGRAFIA DE JOSE MARTINGLI Mercado Viejo No. 85 MONTEVIDEO." Size: Approximately 4 1/8 x 2 7/16 inches. Condition: Photo - Foxing and other spots. Some soiling. Areas of fading. Mount - Some wear at corners. A couple of spots, a couple of scuff marks, and some soiling on front. Spots, some soiling, and foxing on back. Appearance: Good to very good tones except where faded.
7) Seated woman holding baby up. Backmark: "FOTOGRAFIA FRANCESA CASSARINO Calle de los Andes, 200 ESQUINA ST. JOSE MONTEVIDEO." Size: Approximately 4 1/8 x 2 7/16 inches. Condition: Photo - Mottled with spots at bottom and right side. Discoloration around edges. A few tiny specks. Mount - Some wear at 3 corners. A bit of wear along top edge (more apparent on back). Spots on front. Spots and soiling on back. Appearance: Rich tones. Very good contrast.
