  • Condition: In good pre-owned vintage condition with a nick to the underside foot rim, a dime-sized area of glaze crazing underneath the lid, and one chip/crack on the inside rim of the base which may have been repaired but I see no visible glue.

    Description

    A mid 20th-century hand-painted cookie jar of Humpty Dumpty sitting on a wall with a resolute facial expression.  It measures 8 1/2" wide by 6 1/2" deep by 10 1/2" high.  In good pre-owned vintage condition with a nick to the underside foot rim, a dime-sized area of glaze crazing underneath the lid, and one chip/crack on the inside rim of the base which may have been repaired but I see no visible glue.  The piece is unmarked but attributed to Purinton Pottery of Pennsylvania.  Be sure to view my other, possibly-related listings by clicking on "See Other Items" above.
