i can find no issues. these have only been displayed. sweetest ode to little boys in a baby's new bone china place setting. depicts a puppy dog with a pronounced tail on which rests a snail with a frog leaping to his right. the nciest otuch is the depcoration to the sides of the bowl and dish: just a beatiful illustration of a patch of grass with a little snail, a buttery, and a cricket. the cup from outside handle to outside opposite handle is 5 3/4". it is 3" tall. the lip slightly curves outward. the diamater at the mouth is 3 1/4". at the rim, the bowl ihas a diamater of 5 1/4". the rim of the bowl is 1 1/4" away from the surface on which the bowl rests. the base outside diamater is 3". the plate has an outside diameter of 7 1/2". the recessed portion of the plate is 5 1/2". the rim of the plate is 1" from the surface on which the plate rests. the base offers the following information.

i was born in the south and have lived here all of my life. the beautiful landscapes of the mountains and colorful sunsets along the coast have always been favorite subjects for my work. art has been a part of my life as long as i can remember - from shaping sculpture out of creek clay and art lessons as a child, to studying at london's blackheath school of art and earning a bfa from east carolina university.
early on, i taught elementary art in north carolina and virginia until the first of my three wonderful children was born. after taking some time off, i started a children's art and design business with my husband that blossomed beyond our wildest dreams during the years of raising young children. now i split my time between teaching and painting what i love - kids and dogs on the beach, colorful interiors, special moments in people's lives. my hope in all of my art now is simply that it brings joy and smiles to those who see it.
