    Description:
Bisbee, Arizona. Bisbee Chamber of Commerce. No date. Ca. 1936.
Promotional booklet (including verso of paper wraps), black and white photo illustrations, 10pp, 9 x 4 inches, folded as issued. "As New", near fine condition. An interesting promotional booklet touting "America's Most Southern Mile High City." Numerous accolades are lavished on Bisbee: "Motorists entering Bisbee declare that it resembles an Alpine Village"; further, Bisbee is "free from the congestion, din, nerve strain and dirt of the average large community," offering "Outdoor comfort all year." The "colorful and romantic associations of mining and ranching" are to be had in abundance, for "Bisbee [is the] capital of a vast domestic mining empire" and "Cochise County has the largest cattle census of any county in Arizona." Even more enticing is the invitation to "Enjoy first hand the thrills and romance of this glorious Border Wonderland," for "Old Mexico [is] just six miles from Bisbee over an all paved route." For those seeking a respite from Wonderland, the booklet notes that Brisbee is served by the "Southern Pacific main line [with] three passenger trains daily each way." Item #48040
